urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:sqgl sqgl sqgl 2008-06-05T11:48:13Z urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:sqgl:444 2008-06-05T11:48:13Z 2008-06-05T11:48:13Z Am programming new DJ hardware Finally i have some good news to inspire me to start my journal.<br />Have been trying to get back onto Disability Support Pension ever since i came back from Europe 1.5 years ago.<br />Have gone through several levels of appeal and was due for my final appeal in a few weeks.<br />Today i got a letter from CentreLink (ie social security) basically saying they will give in and they acknowledge i am a schizo.<br /><br />BUT...<br /><br />They insist in the letter that if i do not sign the agreement and settle this out-of-court<br />(the Appeals Tribunal is a court case after all)<br />then i am not allowed to bring up this "offer" ("admission of guilt" is more like it)<br />at the hearing. A gag order!<br /><br />I reckon they know I have documented dirt on them and are shitting themselves.<br />Tomorrow I will ring and ask them if the settlement includes not only my pension being restored,<br />but 1.5 years backpayment... with interest!<br /><br />Then if they agree, go to the ombudsman and report their inneptitude anyhow.<br />Afterall i never have agreed to their non-disclosure bullying and there is nothing about it in<br />the contract they want me to sign either.<br /><br />The contract also says i have satisfied items X, Y, Z of the Social Security Act and therefore<br />satisfy criteria for DSP "provided all other qualifications are satisfied".<br />Sounds like weasel words to me; will have to ask about that tomorrow also.
